A look back on Thursday night…
Thank you for joining us for a fantastic night of art, music and performance by artist Ed Ball at one of London’s hottest night clubs BEAT. We are excited to be doing this new collaboration with BEAT, working together curating new performance, photography and other art projects, with special opening nights to introduce you to the artist’s vision and response to the surroundings of the club.
As an artist, Ed strives to connect with the viewer and create engagement, drawing you in with the intention to influence your emotional state. He achieves this by painting another art form that can change emotions, the art form of music. Ball’s unfaltering focus on music allows him to bring energy, movement and vibrancy to the surface of his work. Simultaneously, this allows him to visually represent the music he listens to whilst painting, which is evident in his bold brush strokes, free flowing colours and intricate shapes.
“All I want to do is connect with people on a primitive level, bringing an emotional response through a powerful work. It’s as simple as that.” – Ed Ball
Using industrial and household paints with a cocktail of modern artistic acrylic polymers, Ball organically creates complex interactions within his work, persuading different types of paint technologies to react and combine with stunning results.
Ed Ball’s work can be found in a myriad of public and private collections in the UK, USA and Canada. He was commissioned by an American architect to work on a large scale glass installation project, where he worked with an artisan glass foundry in Montreal.
A selection of Ball’s artworks have been featured in London’s first Bitcoin property: six-storey Notting Hill mansion being sold for £17 million!
