End of Year Top 10


Happy New Year and welcome to 2016.

It is quite often the case that some of the most memorable events happen towards the end of the year. We at Imitate Modern would like to share our top 10 from the last two months of 2015.

1. Imitate Modern has began a collaboration with the newly opened Maddox Gallery where you can now come to see Tyler Shields’ photography and paintings by Romero Britto among other exciting artists.

2. Rich Simmons painted his biggest street art mural to date “Reflections”.

3. The Dotmaster also created two new giant street art murals in Croydon.




4. Bansky is also back to making street art. In December he painted an image of Steve Jobs with a black bin bag over his shoulder and an early Apple computer. Father of Steve Jobs has also been a Syrian refugee.751a3b42-093d-45b6-8ecb-8409df1d77e0


5. Last year has not only brought happy street art news to us. In November we found out that Stik’s street art piece has been stolen from Gdansk in Poland.

6. Photographer Daniel Sachon had his first solo exhibition “Disruptive Innovation”. The work Millennial Marilyn has been especially well received and noticed by press like Daily Mail and Metro UK.


7. Parlee ERZ has also had his first long awaited solo exhibition in Norwich. Follow_that_fly_A2_email_sizec3ba15

8. Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch began an urban art exhibition featuring Imitate Modern artists SeeOne, Lukas Avalon and URNY.


9. Among some other news we liked was the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”a5dff40e-1bcb-49ff-ab4a-4be9d2e1abbf

10. November began with the sale of Bunny at the prestigious Phillips auction and continued with the release of new Tyler Shields images from the Decadence series soon to be exhibited in London.ccbf7ad0-f13a-4379-b69e-7b4ab0798473
