Alongside his career as an award winning journalist and newspaper editor, Russell Marshall has also established himself as an artist. The subjects, techniques and production methods of his art reflect his background. His art is recognisable by the CMYK colours, halftone dots, iconic images and familiar faces of celebrities, often seen in the papers.
His exhibition “40: A Kate Moss Retrospective” at Imitate Modern earlier this year was a great success and one of our most popular exhibitions to date, featured in worldwide media and printed in a number of international publications, along with a significant visitor turnout.
Recently, Russell Marshall has created Poppies, an edition of 111 charity prints. All sale profits from those prints are to be split equally between British Legion, Help For Heroes and The Royal Hospital Chelsea. It’s always wonderful to see our artists helping a good cause.
